The USACO is a series of online programming contests (roughly six per year). Top students have the opportunity to represent the USA at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), the most prestigious international algorithmic programming competition at the high-school level. Bronze is the first division in the USACO programming contests. If you score above a certain level in the Bronze competition, you are automatically promoted to the silver division.
